My favorite children's book of all time is being made into a movie. I can't even say that I am surprised, frankly I thought they would have done it by now. The heartbreaking part of this is how they have completely destroyed the integrity of the story and art in the book. Yes, I am THIS passionate about a children's book. "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" reflects the best of imaginative writing and personal expression through visual art. To reduce it to some glossy, over-engineered version of a faux-pixar animation film and then to gut and re-engineer the story is, at best, nauseating.
